He uses his mastery of magnetism to bully humanity and clear the way for mutants to rule. Humans fear and despise the genetically-superior mutants, following a policy of zero tolerance that calls for total destruction of all "muties." Xavier and Magneto lead divergent groups of mutants in conflict over the means to pursue their self-defense. Xavier hopes that humans and mutants could coexist peacefully some day, and his X-Men are sworn not to kill.
